Prime Minister Joseph Muscat announced this at the end of the meeting of the executive branch stating that he abstained. "He received two requests of grace for Fenech. Yesterday among the protesters outside the headquarters of the Maltese government there was also Matthew Caruana Galicia, son of the killed journalist Daphne. They demanded "justice" after the release of Keith Schembri, former Chief of Staff of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat. Schermbri was released from prison - according to police reports - after intense investigations conducted in recent days regarding evidence against him for the murder "of journalist Daphne Caruana Galicia. The main suspect in the murder, manager Yorgen Fenech, had indicated Schembri as the mind of murder.
