29 November 201911.01 In October the number of employees rose by 0.2% (+46,000) over September and by 0.9% (+ 217,000) on an annual basis. The employment rate rises to 59.2% (+ 0.1% ). This is communicated by Istat. The increase is due to the increase in independents (+38,000) and term employees (+6,000). The employment growth concerns women, men and all age groups except for the 35-49 year olds. In the 12 months the increase in employment is accompanied by a fall in the number of unemployed (-9.7%, -269,000 units) and inactive people (-0.4%, -49,000 units).
