On Thursday, the Supreme Court upheld the district court's ruling and released the bus driver after the bus accident in Sveg. According to the prosecutor, the accident was caused by driver sewing.
- I can conclude that the Court of Appeal does not share my judgment. The High Court frees the bus driver and comes to a different conclusion than the district court. They do not find that it is undisputed that this accident is due to sleepiness or fatigue, says prosecutor Mikael Bäckström.
Henrik Karlsson, who lost his son Gunnar in the accident, wants tougher demands, that there should be two bus drivers on such long night trips.
