Several people were killed Thursday in two bomb blasts in the cities of al-Bab and Afrin in the countryside of Aleppo, and Turkey announced the death of two of its soldiers in the south of the country on the border with Syria, due to shells from the Syrian side.

Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that an explosive device explosion in the center of al-Bab city in eastern Aleppo countryside left a number of wounded, and that another explosion in a car bomb was carried out near Al-Farabi Hospital in Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin city north of Aleppo.

A statement from the ministry said that Turkish forces opened fire immediately at the source of the attack, and that operations in the area were continuing.
