The emergency services were alerted to the scene at 14 o'clock on Thursday afternoon.
"The car must have been completely destroyed, and there was also a risk of dispersal to the nearby building," says Tobias Ahlén, press officer at RLC police region Mitt.
However, the rescue service was able to get to the scene quickly and gained control of the fire. The driver is now suspected of negligent carelessness.

- I should not speculate on the matter, but the driver is probably expected to note if something is burning in the parking lot. Then it is clear whether a crime has been committed, says Tobias Ahlén.
