November 27, 2019A giant explosion hit a chemical plant in Port Neches, in eastern Texas, near the Louisiana border

The windows of buildings shattered even from miles away.

The explosion occurred at the TPC plant that manufactures products for oil and chemical companies.

According to the New York Times at least three people were injured and were hospitalized.

The explosion caused a large ball of fire and smoke in the sky that forced the local authorities to evacuate the entire area. "Please be aware that there is a mandatory evacuation for everyone within a mile and a half from the TPC facility in Port Neches," local fire officials said.
