“Information about the deprivation of Oleg Deripaska of Cyprus citizenship is untrue. He did not receive any official notifications from the Government of Cyprus on the status of his citizenship, ”the representative said.
He also expressed indignation that Cyprus "is being subjected to unprecedented pressure from the United States to create difficulties for Russian business."
Earlier, the Politis newspaper called the names of Russians from whom they allegedly decided to take away “golden passports”. Deripaska was among the others on the list.
The Kremlin called this issue an internal affair of Cyprus.
