According to him, this is due to the fact that the New Year holidays will last from January 1 to January 8, 2020 inclusive.
According to Shklovets, the first working day next year will fall on Thursday, January 9, in connection with which, after the “New Year's holiday, Russians will have a two-day working week.”
Shklovets previously stated that workers will be able to get a day off on December 31, which falls on Tuesday in 2019 and is a working day if the employer provides an additional day off.
According to him, it is possible to provide the employee with December 31 as a vacation day or a day off, or for work on a weekend or a non-working holiday.
