The whole person helps vulnerable people with food and accommodation but also good man- agement and stewardship. The organization is largely run by volunteers and they offer accommodation for those in need of urgent help.

Marek is one of those who are on the Whole Man to have breakfast and collect lunch vouchers.

- But there is no sleeping place today because there are so many who are here. But I've got a place for tomorrow, he says.

So he has to wait until a vacancy appears and in the meantime he can stay with a friend. But not everyone has that luxury.

- I've had to sit on a park bench with a blanket over me, says Håkan, who has been on the Whole Man from and for ten years.

Important with employment

In addition to food and roof overhead, the organization helps with a variety of things.

- There is always someone who can help. Sometimes it might be just having to borrow the phone, says Håkan.

What could help you living in such a situation?

- You have to have an employment, a job, or at least something to do. Otherwise, there won't be much to do with anything, he says.
