More than two weeks after the attempted self-immolation of Anas K., hundreds of students demonstrated Tuesday, November 26, to call for emergency measures against their precarious living conditions. An important mobilization in Lyon and weaker elsewhere.

On November 8, Anas K., a 22-year-old student, set himself on fire in front of Crous headquarters in Lyon. In a post on Facebook, he linked his gesture to his financial difficulties.

Anas is now in a steady state in a department of burn victims, with a significant risk of infections, according to his relatives.

Long live emotion in Lyon since the Anas K.

In Lyon, the emotion remained lively Tuesday and 900 students, according to the prefecture, mobilized. In Rennes, Grenoble, or Lille, they were 200, according to AFP journalists. And in Toulouse, only forty in an undeclared demonstration and quickly dispersed by the police.

In Paris, dozens of protesters, mostly from the University of Tolbiac, went to a university restaurant to mobilize other students on the precariousness of their situation, but also "the whole of the society".

On November 12, rallies in several cities in France had already gathered hundreds of angry students. The demonstrations then ended in incidents such as disturbed courts. In Paris, an entrance gate of the Ministry of Higher Education had been torn off.
