Uber is again suspended in London by the London transport authority. The reasons for this decision: failures of the application on smartphone that allows to connect drivers and users. The US giant VTC plans to appeal.

The UK authorities have detected several flaws in the Uber application that pose serious security issues.

Unlicensed drivers, for example, can put their pictures on other drivers' accounts and continue to drive in London illegally. At least 14,000 trips were made under these conditions. Another platform failure allows Uber suspended drivers to create new active Uber accounts.

Uber has been on the hot seat in London for several years. Last September, the authorities renewed their license for only two months while waiting for safety guarantees for users and drivers. The authorities admit it: Uber made an effort because passengers can now enter directly with emergency services through the app, for example.

For the pioneer of chauffeured vehicles, London is crucial. It is one of the five most profitable cities and accounts for a quarter of its global revenue. Uber, according to some observers, has lost millions of dollars and faces competition from companies like Bolt or Kapten ready to take over.
