In a lengthy article in the British Sunday Times, it appears that Prince Andrew was forced to resign all public duties for the British royal house and that Queen Elizabeth canceled the planned 60th anniversary celebration in February.

The event was previously planned to pay tribute to the Prince and his charity work. Now the queen will instead invite the closest family to dinner.

Lost confidence assignment after interview

It was in a BBC interview last weekend that Prince Andrew was interviewed about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, in which the prince denied details of sexual intercourse with a then 17-year-old girl. British press has condemned the interview as a public relations disaster of great proportions.

According to information from the Sunday Times, the queen should not have approved the interview and the British royal house is believed to have been damaged by the deal.

Last Friday, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The English National Ballet, London Metropolitan University and several charities canceled collaborations with Prince Andrew.
