Orange day is the international day for the abolition of violence against women and girls. For three weeks, residents of the City of Gothenburg will have the opportunity to have conversations in various locations, including sociogenomics and the crime victims' case.

The purpose is to start thoughts and discussions on the subject of violence in close relationships, especially in the case of young people.

Kill dinner and dialogue

- Through dialogue, we want to make the violence talkable, says Jenny Helin, coordinator of violence in close relation in the district administration Angered.

According to her, it is important that more people join and question destructive masculinity norms.

- That's why we invite you to a dinner party in Angered, among other things, to get guys and men to take responsibility.

Residents will be able to meet the City of Gothenburg employees at locations around the city where they know many are passing through. In addition to the opportunity for talks, lectures with free entrance are also offered in several places in Gothenburg.

Some of the organizers are the City of Gothenburg, Familjebostäder, Poseidon, UN Women and Men for Gender Equality in Gothenburg.
