“By decision of the leadership of the GUSB of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the officers of the headquarters were sent to the Krasnodar Territory to provide practical assistance in conducting an internal audit of the suicide of an investigator in the police department of the Khostinsky district police department in Sochi,” the report said.

It is noted that the purpose of the audit is to establish all the circumstances of the incident, as well as to provide an assessment of the organization of the moral and psychological support of the unit.

It is also expected that following its results, guilty officials will be held accountable.

According to media reports, 23-year-old Maria Klochkova committed suicide in the workplace after joining the police in Sochi after graduating from the University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Later, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory said that media reports indicating the possible causes of suicide would be objectively and comprehensively checked.
