“In the village of Novy Port, there was a hard landing of the Mi-8 helicopter, which made a flight along the route Novoportovskoye field - the city of Novy Urengoy. During takeoff, the tail rotor failed, as a result, the aircraft commander decided to land the helicopter, ”the statement said.

It is specified that during landing the tail boom of the helicopter was partially damaged and the landing gear destroyed.

“On board were 22 passengers (shift workers) and three crew members. Representatives of the Yamal Airlines flew to the scene to clarify the circumstances, ”the agency added.

There are no fatalities and injuries as a result of the incident.

Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that in the Moscow region a helicopter crashed into the Klyazma reservoir. Later, the Moscow Transport Prosecutor's Office announced the start of an audit of the incident.
