At the microphone of Europe 1, Christian Estrosi, the mayor of Nice, explained that the bad weather of Saturday caused mud flows and falls of trees in his metropolis, but that no victim was to deplore.

Hundreds of homes were flooded and people evacuated in the south of France, facing the rains that fell Saturday, especially in the Var and the Alpes-Maritimes. 1,600 firefighters were mobilized, and some 4,000 households were deprived of electricity in the evening. "The 124 millimeters of rain fell in 24 hours corresponds to a whole month of November.This is the second rainiest month on the last twenty years after 2014", commented at the microphone of Bernard Poirette, on Europe 1, Christian Estrosi, the mayor of Nice.

"Life is back on track, there have been more than 115 field interventions, we have a lot of mud flows, landslides, trees that have fallen," says the city councilor.
