The strike started in Svappavaara and spread to Kiruna and Malmberget. About 5,000 workers participated. In this time and spirit, the three photographers documented Yngve Baum, Jean Hermanson and Odd Uhrbom, independently of one another, parts of the country's heavy industry.

Some of the pictures come from the mines in Norrbotten. Others from Motala workshop and yards in Gothenburg. For the first time, their work is now on display in a collective exhibition at the Museum of Work.

- It feels in these pictures that it is really dirty - that there is a blackness in everything, says Sara Grevlund, temporary curator at the Museum of Work.

The exhibition opens November 23 and runs until February 23.
