The man, who is a resident of a crane municipality in Umeå, worked before the rape as an officer in a neighboring county. Now the Armed Forces Personnel Responsibility Board has decided that he is not welcome back after serving a sentence.
It was in December last year that the man committed the first rape. In April, he was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison, but the sentence was appealed.
At the end of July, pending court hearings, the man raped another woman. In September, he was sentenced to two years in prison for the rape.
The Armed Forces takes a serious look at the crime the man has been convicted of and believes that all confidence in him is exhausted and has decided that he should be dismissed.
