Foreign Minister Mogi and the US Deputy Secretary of State Sullivan met in Nagoya City, and the three governments, including Korea and Japan, added that the Korean government has decided to maintain the Japan-Korea military information comprehensive protection agreement = GSOMIA. They agreed that security cooperation is important.

Foreign Minister Mogi talked with the American Deputy Secretary of Sullivan for about 20 minutes after the G20 = Foreign Ministers' Meeting of the 20 major countries in Nagoya.

Both of them exchanged opinions about the Korean government's decision to maintain the Japan-Korea Military Information Comprehensive Protection Agreement = GSOMIA on the 22nd, and North Korea repeatedly fired ballistic missiles. While stabilizing, the two countries agreed to recognize the importance of the security cooperation of the three countries, including Korea.

In addition to confirming the cooperation to alleviate and stabilize the situation in the Middle East, the two sides also exchanged opinions on Japan-Russia relations, given that Vice Secretary Sullivan has been appointed as the new Russian ambassador.
