For the moment, the Fage does not call the mobilization on December 5 to protest against the pension reform, says its president on Europe 1. It however expects "clarifications" of the government and lets weigh the threat.

REACTION

On December 5, the Fage did not plan to demonstrate ... "for now". Invited from Europe 1 Saturday morning, Orlane François, president of the first student union of France, indicated that it did not call, at the moment for the mobilization. "But we demand a clarification on the expectations and objectives of this reform," she said, however.

For the Fage, the pension reform led by Emmanuel Macron is a "fundamental" subject, and a "concern" of the first order. "It's us, the future retirees!" Exclaims Orlane François. The union remains vigilant. "We will not accept an economic reform on pensions."

Call for the strike of Unef

Another major student union, Unef has already called for demonstrations in order to "keep up the pressure" on the government about the re-evaluation of university scholarships. The December 5 strike against the pension reform promises to be very well followed in several sectors.

On the transport side, SNCF and RATP are already planning an extremely limited number of trains in circulation, and 11 Air France unions have called for demonstrations on Friday. At EDF, three out of four unions call for a strike. On the side of National Education, SNES-FSU, SUD-Education and UNSA-Education are calling for a teachers' strike. If the national centers of the CGT and FO have declared their full opposition to the reform, the CFDT has not yet launched a call to strike.
