Abu Dhabi Police have dealt a severe blow to the "banking fraud gangs" after they signed 29 Asians in cooperation with Dubai and Ajman police and thwarting their attempts to seize the money of the account holders after contacting them by telephone and obtaining their bank statements and using them to commit their crimes.

The perpetrators belong to four gangs that communicate with and accuse persons of a ban on their bank accounts and credit cards, and must be updated on condition that information is provided, including account numbers, to be used to seize the assets of victims.

Brigadier General Mohammed Suhail Al Rashidi, Director of Criminal Security Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, continued to confront this kind of crime and to inflict criminal gangs that use the telephone banking monument as a means to seize the victims' money illegally.

He expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of cooperation and coordination with Dubai and Ajman police in the prosecution and arrest of criminal gang members so that bank account holders are not vulnerable to fraud.

Brigadier General Omran Ahmed Al Mazrouei, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department at Abu Dhabi Police, said that reports had been received from persons indicating that they had been victims of the bank monument gang. They were identified and arrested.
