The Traffic and Patrols Department of Ras Al Khaimah has seized 346 vehicles due to exceeding the speed limits set on the roads of the Emirate since the beginning of this year.

The Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Sam Al-Naqbi, told Emirates Today that the Road Control Branch seized a vehicle on Sheikh Zayed Road in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, driven by a young man at a speed exceeding 236 kilometers per hour. "On the off-road vehicle, legal action was taken against the driver."

Al-Naqbi pointed out that Ras Al Khaimah Police is working on studying all violations and traffic accidents resulting from illegal speeds, pointing out that there are 83 radar in the streets of Ras Al Khaimah, and is in the process of installing 10 new devices.

He added that the Traffic and Patrols Department is reviewing the speeds on the internal roads separating the vital streets.
