Tsekov stressed that the "representation" of the Ukrainian leader in Crimea can be called a "virtual organization", which is forced to demonstrate some kind of activity.
“Changing leaders are repeating the same phrases: Ukrainian Crimea, we will fight, we will return it. Everyone says that there are some plans, but they cannot imagine anything concrete, ”the senator explained.
In his opinion, everyone understands that there will never be a return of Crimea to Ukraine.
According to the parliamentarian, theses on the contrary from the Ukrainian representatives cause only a grin.
“These are completely frivolous statements ... We need real politicians in Ukraine. They should be interested, first of all, in restoring relations between Ukraine and Russia. The topic of Crimea in general should be removed from the agenda, ”he concluded.
Earlier, the head of the “representative office” of the Ukrainian leader in Crimea, Anton Korinevich, said that Zelensky’s team was working on a strategy for “returning” the peninsula.
According to him, a special working group has been created, which will develop political and diplomatic ways to implement the plan.
Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents spoke out for reunification with Russia.
