“The decision of the State Security Committee on the opening of criminal proceedings is based on the appeal of the people's deputies, which was a reaction to information published in the media that the Department“ K ”of the SBU received the task of organizing surveillance and collection of confidential information about the leadership of the party and people's deputies from the Opposition Platform “For life,” the party’s press service said.
They specified that this information is confirmed by the facts about the use by officials of their official position and the provision of “illegal influence” on deputies in order to prevent them from fulfilling their duties.
Earlier, Ukrainian journalist Andrei Pavlovsky said that the SBU is conducting a secret operation to establish ties within the Opposition Platform - For Life and determine the party’s income sources.
