With a three-year-old in the arms, a woman met the police who were alerted to a cabin in Hälsingland. Together, they then encountered the doctor who had a sharpened shotgun over his shoulder.

- He is armed because he thinks there is danger around him. The woman feels a strong discomfort about this, says Christer Sammens, prosecutor who prosecuted the doctor.

Police: "Bad horror movie"

When the police arrive at the couple's cottage, over 60 knives, axes and machetes are found. And about a dozen air and firearms.

In the preliminary investigation, the police themselves describe the incident as a "bad horror movie" but also that it caused a great feeling of discomfort. The police write: "It feels like the police patrol interrupted something possibly terrible at the right time."

The bomb guard was called to the cabin

The bomb guard was also called to the scene when police found a grenade rigged to a string that spanned the floor. However, it turned out to be a legal "airsoft grenade".

When the doctor is visited, the police discover another 13 knives. In his home in Stockholm, a semi-automatic pistol, a starting pistol, a signal revolver and tear gas are found. He is being prosecuted at Hudiksvall District Court on suspicion of a violation of the knife law and a weapons offense.

"They react to the fact that his collection of weapons has well taken forms so that it becomes almost bizarre and unnatural," says Christer Sammens.
