In France, the anti-government front is expanding on pensions and the mobilization of December 5 is expected to be very followed. Railroad unions at the forefront of the proposed universal point-of-retirement plan are increasing the number of advance notices.

Last rally in date, that of CFDT-Cheminots for which the government could not reassure. What revive fears or hopes to see a reissue of strikes in 1995 that had paralyzed for many weeks the country.

The umpteenth attempt at concerted action by the government did nothing about it. The railway unions raise their voices and difficult transports are to be feared on December 5th. FO, CGT Cheminots and Sud-Rail unite to call for an indefinite strike in passenger transport, goods transport, but also the transport of funds among taxis, movers and ambulances. They were joined by the CFDT-Cheminots which should deposit by Friday a renewable notice.

Three of the four representative unions at EDF are also calling for a strike and are fearing energy cuts.

At Air France, no calls from pilots, hostesses and stewards, but a mobilization is planned for a good part of the ground staff.

This Thursday, several members of the executive accused the unions, including the CGT, to refuse dialogue and support corporatist interests. Nervousness has mounted a notch to the government that fears the coagulation of discontent. He will still try to invite union representatives Monday to Matignon to extinguish the fire.

For now, hospital staff remains mobilized despite an emergency plan announced Wednesday by the government. The precarious students too.

Yellow Vests should also be on the streets on December 5th.

Laurent Berger, secretary general of the CFDT, called on the government to get out of the ambiguity. He stressed the need for clarity and readability on pension reform.
