Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Rabbi of the Jewish Religious Council in Washington, a member of the Supreme Committee of Human Fraternity, Bruce Lastig, stressed the expected positive impact of the Abrahamic House, describing it as a center for learning, dialogue and worship, with its focus on providing opportunities for understanding among followers of divine religions and different beliefs.

Priest Patrick Conroy, the US pastor, called for the blessing of peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding between believers in heavenly religions and followers of other beliefs worldwide.

During the ceremony, a short film was screened highlighting several initiatives recently undertaken by the UAE to promote coexistence between followers of religions and beliefs, in the context of which Pope Francis' historic visit to Abu Dhabi in February 2019 was signed by the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmad. Sheikh Al-Azhar and Pope Francis on the Humanitarian Brotherhood for World Peace and Coexistence, which calls on people around the world to uphold the values ​​that promote security and peace in the future.

The signing of this document resulted in the formation of the Supreme Committee for Humanity Fraternity, which includes a group of religious leaders, scholars, experts in the field of education and cultural leaders, who intend to devote their efforts to meet the aspirations contained in the document, as the UAE was inspired by the idea of ​​building the Abrahamic House It will be supervised by the Committee.

Abu Dhabi will be the home of the Brahimi House - designed by Sir David Adjayi, chief designer of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington - and is scheduled for completion in 2022. The initiative is part of the UAE's celebration of the Year of Tolerance, during which Integration and celebration of cultural and ethnic diversity.

As Chairman of the Supreme National Committee for the Year of Tolerance, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan is leading initiatives to expand dialogue and religious coexistence.
