Sila al-Wafi, northern Syria

The Child Protection Committee in the northern Syrian border city of Harem, in cooperation with several humanitarian organizations, held a children's entertainment party on the occasion of "International Children's Day".

The concert included several events, including a silent stage show based on kinetic gestures to be a public message to address the world in various nationalities and languages, to be the voice of the children of deprived Syria and the image of their dreams, according to the organizers.

The event also aimed to encourage the integration of children with special needs and dropouts with their peers in regular schools with a view to instilling a sense of responsibility and participation in the hearts of children towards each other, to make World Children's Day a global day of excellence for all children without any differences.

A number of volunteer teachers took part in the ceremony and held placards reading "My right to learn" and "My right to play" away from the scourge and pain of war that deprived children of their most basic rights.
