The Paris Bourse started on a negative note (-0.48%) Wednesday morning, fearing a resurgence of tension between Beijing and Washington, after a US Senate vote in favor of human rights in Hong Kong and while Donald Trump threatened China with a customs bidding war.

At 9:00 am, the CAC 40 index fell by 28.36 points to 5,880.69 points. The day before, he had finished down 0.35%, after signing a new high in session.
