“Re-examination showed that Elmar Baghdasaryan is considered to have acquired Russian citizenship in accordance with the law,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Earlier, Kemularia reported that Elmar Baghdasaryan was deprived of Russian citizenship.
Kemularia stated that the decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs would be challenged in court. According to him, Elmar Baghdasaryan lived in Russia until 1991 and automatically received a Russian passport.
