The reason for the notification is the coordination carried out by the municipality and which concerns employees working with finance, communication and HR. The purpose is to coordinate premises and staff to prioritize the municipality's resources in a better way. In some cases, it has also been seen that a different competence is needed than the one available today to cope with the work in the future.

- It is our new way of working that has made us look over the benefits of coordinating administration, among other things. Then we have come to the conclusion that there is a redundancy, says Eva Johansson (C), chair of the municipal council's organizational and staff committee.

It is unclear which employees are affected

The notice is valid for two months and only in January do you know how many who will need to be dismissed and which employees are affected.

- Trade union negotiations are now underway. This is a sensitive process for everyone involved so it must take their time.

According to the municipality, there are ten posts in finance, four posts in communication, two posts in HR and four posts in Fresh working life.
