A 40-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly killing his 69-year-old mother in his home located in the Jinámar neighborhood, in the municipality of Telde (Gran Canaria) , official sources confirmed to Europa Press .
The events occurred in the afternoon of this Monday and after being alerted to the events, agents of the National Police appeared at the place where the alleged perpetrator was arrested.
The National Police has taken charge of the proceedings and keeps an investigation open to know how the events occurred, since the possibility of the alleged author suffering mental problems is considered.
