The Sharjah Criminal Court has punished an Arab man for six months in prison and deportation from the state, after he was found guilty of assaulting three policemen inside a shopping mall in Sharjah, insulting them, beating them and threatening to post pictures and videos of them during his arrest on social media.

Details of the incident, according to the case papers, when the police received a report of a report registered at a police station against the accused by a woman accused of stealing her phone, and during the investigation was reached the accused in a shopping center and was stopped, and asked for his identity, refused and when trying to install him to restrict him In addition, when he arrived at the police station, security officers threatened to post videos and photos of them on social media during the arrest to discredit them.

The court heard previous testimony from the witness in the case, who confirmed that the defendant was in one of the commercial centers, and was suspected, and asked him his identity as a normal procedure to confirm his identity, refused to give them to them, and began to ridicule them, and kicked one of his colleagues with his foot on his stomach, and said To them he does not recognize them as police, and spat on him and his colleagues.

He added that they were able to control him, and after arriving at the police station, the officers threatened to post videos and pictures of them while he was caught on social media and by sending them to his country through talks, to be published and discredit them.

According to the witness, the reason for the suspect's suspicion of a communication against him was that he stole a phone from a woman in Sharjah, and it turned out that he was the wanted person himself after confirming his identity at the security center.

The accused denied all the charges against him in previous hearings and maintained his denial throughout the trial.
