Moscow returned to Ukraine the three ships seized last year off the Crimea - a disputed peninsula with Kiev - following a gunfight in which some Ukrainian sailors were injured. Moscow had stated that the ships - two small armored vessels and a tugboat - had illegally entered its territorial waters due to a "provocation", a circumstance denied by Kiev. The Russian foreign ministry said in a note.
