This weekend, the jumping in the Norwegian championships was decided in the Nordic combination at Lugnet in Falun. When Magnus Krog landed, one ski cut out and he fell forward. The Norwegian star must have been lying down long before he was picked up by ambulance and taken to hospital, NRK writes.

According to NRK, the recent mild and rainy weather had made the snow loose on the hill and conditions got worse and worse during the race.

Refused to continue the competition

After the crash, the three remaining riders refused to continue the competition and therefore had to be canceled. Jörgen Graabak, who also took Olympic gold in the branch, tells NRK that he experienced the hill in Falun as dangerous and that the organizer should have stopped the competition.

- Life is more than sports and I think they should have thought of this in the competition jury.

"Fine conditions"

Competition manager Per Busk tells NRK that the slopes were not dangerous when Krog jumped:

- Absolutely not. It was nice conditions when he jumped, but we saw that the slope became softer and softer and together with the jury I made the decision that it would not withstand all the jumpers that remained, says Per Busk.

Magnus Krog managed without serious injuries but it is unclear when he can be back and compete again.
