According to preliminary data, on the evening of November 18 in the north-west of Moscow, the nanny, while bathing two babies, left one of them briefly unattended in a bathtub filled with water.

“One child was taken to a room, and the second was left unattended in the bathroom ... When the woman returned, the child showed no signs of life,” the ministry said in a statement.

Despite the organized resuscitation measures, the baby could not be saved.

The nanny was detained, the investigation began checking all the circumstances of the incident.

In October, a case was opened on Sakhalin on the death of a ward of a boarding school from burns received in the bath.

In April, URA.RU reported that a man accused of torturing his cohabitant's two-year-old child was detained in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.
