- I went here quite early and started to get up and find and look at the location and the topography to see what would work here, says artist Christian Andersson.

In conjunction with the building of multi-family houses on the site, the city of Helsingborg called for sketches for a work of art that could fit on the site and Christian Andersson's idea was the one that ultimately chose to move on.

Two daggers tails in bronze

Work on the installation has taken about two years, but now "Beta" is inaugurated. The two bronze figures represent dagger tails, an animal that has been around for about 400 million years - and still lives in the ocean on the US East Coast.

- Partly it is close to the sea and then this place is quite small and a bit flat, he continues. I thought that instead of putting up a big, magnificent monument, I do something that is an event rather than a sculpture.
