After you have been appointed to head the new government, how do you see this responsibility?

This is undoubtedly a great responsibility. It is well known that the economic and social situation faces major challenges, but I am determined to form a capable government capable of coping with these difficulties after consultation with all political parties, national organizations and civil society organizations, so that we can develop an economic and social program that responds to the expectations of the Tunisian people. , And to his youth who expressed it during the last elections.

Are you open to all political and party spectrums in your upcoming consultations towards forming a government or are there exceptions and red lines?

I will be open to all parties without exception, especially those who wish to contribute to the building of reform plans and prepare a program to save Tunisia from this difficult situation it is going through. I will also start communicating effectively with all national parties and organizations to hear their opinions and suggestions, and share with them my perception of the government's course and program of work. .

Some consider you affiliated with Ennahdha and a close friend, especially after your work with the Troika parties under the plan of a Secretary of State for Agriculture?

I am certainly independent, not only from Ennahdha but from all political parties, and those close to me know this. As for the fact that Ennahdha proposed my plan of secretary of state for agriculture during the Troika period, this was done on the basis that I am an independent and competent person. I did not and will not belong to any party, and my only goal is to serve Tunisia, and to cooperate with all parties and organizations to find a solution and a common program to get them out of their current state.

Some parties and even national organizations, according to the nominated news, expressed a reservation to your person on the grounds that you do not have an economic background, and that the situation in the country requires a person with economic qualifications and relations with international financial organizations. How do you see this offering?

I believe that I combine the technical dimensions as an agricultural engineer and economist in view of my academic background, and I have in-depth experience and expertise in economics. I spent an important part of my career in Tunisian management and knowledgeable about its laws, as well as my experience in the economic sector and private investment that exceeded ten years, as well as relations with international organizations.

As you talk about the private sector, can you understand that one of your economic bets in government will focus on this sector?

The private economy is one of the important aspects of the reform program that I will proceed, because it is a bet on investment and on private enterprises, because of their role in achieving growth and accumulation of wealth and the creation of jobs, because the state agencies can no longer accommodate all job applications, and the biggest bet will be on Investment in the private sector, and the businessmen of the sons of Tunisia, without forgetting of course to pay foreign investment and openness to it, both our Arab brothers or the rest of the world.

What criteria will you use in selecting your government team and are there any specific conditions?

They are in fact two metrics: efficiency and integrity, which I believe and will work to achieve in the features of the formation of my new government.

Do you think your government will have a majority vote in parliament?

Yes, I have high hope and confidence that the various parties and their deputies will be convinced of the composition of the new government, its members and its program to promote Tunisia in the field of employment, the fight against poverty and the mobilization of the national economy.

What is your message to the people of what is expected of your government under the prevailing despair of a wide spectrum of reform and change?

My message is clear to the Tunisian people that this government will be a government of work and achievement, and will work to respond to the demands and expectations of the people clearly expressed during the last period and during the election campaign, I say that we are sincere and we have no special calculations, neither political nor personal, We count on the support of the Tunisians for us.
