Stade Jules Plisson's international opener has engaged "with immediate effect" with La Rochelle, the two clubs announced on Friday after the club's loss to Brive (27-11) in the European Challenge.

The duration of the engagement was not given, the Parisian club specifying that he and the player "let themselves consider a return to the future".

Plisson (28) joined Stade Français in 2010, with whom he notably raised Brennus Shield in 2015. He has had 19 selections with the XV of France since 2014.

He had had little time since 2018 under the leadership of South African coach Heyneke Meyer, dismissed this week by Hans-Peter Wild, owner and president of the club Parisian author of a catastrophic start to the season (last of the Top 14 with 7 defeats in 9 days).

La Rochelle, for its part, occupies the 9th place in the Top 14 with four wins and five losses on the clock.
