“We have completed deliveries as part of the implementation of the state defense order this year for a record short time and have already begun to implement the state defense order of 2020. This result was made possible largely due to well-coordinated work in the field and a high production culture, ”the press service of the concern quoted the message of Dmitry Kalashnikov, Kalashnikov General Director.

Earlier it was reported that the concern would transfer to the Russian Ministry of Defense ahead of schedule all AK-12 assault rifles under a 2018 contract, according to which deliveries should be completed in 2021.

Kalashnikov also stated that the concern will create a new generation AK-12 assault rifle in a version with a NATO standard caliber.
