French basketball players beat Spain 55-51 in Zamora (North West) in a friendly on Friday night, preparing for the Olympic Qualification Tournament (TQO) in just over two months.
The girls of Valerie Garnier, vice-champions of Europe 2019, will meet the Spanish, champions of Europe in title, Sunday midday (12:30) in Palencia (north), for a second friendly match.
Silver medalists at the London Olympics in 2012, and 4th in Rio 2016, the Bleues will aim for a third consecutive Olympic participation, in summer 2020 in Tokyo (25 July-9 August).
They will have to take one of the three qualifying places of their TQO, which they will play at home Bourges from February 6 to 9, 2020.
