The wind farm at Nylandsbergen is at high altitude and winter in the area in question. But despite snow and ice, biologist Jens Löfgren and environmental inspector Lena Thornberg were able to show some of the environmental problems that arose when the wind farm was erected.

Jens Löfgren found that the bottom of a stream was covered with sludge and that drums under roads represent obstacles to migration for fish and other species.

"This is not how it should look," he said, and at the same time wondered if it was due to ignorance or if there were other explanations.

Serious deficiencies

Overall, there are major shortcomings that the municipality sees as extremely serious.

"We believe that the operator has not conducted the business according to the permit," Lena Thornberg said.

Jens Löfgren believes that what has happened bit by bit has to be described as shattering.

- Yes, I think it is in some places that we looked at in the fall.

The company reported to the police

Today, the municipality of Sundsvall notified the current company Eolus Vind AB, which had previously been required to remedy the problems before the turn of the year.
