The working environment a cause

"It is not the heavy psychiatric diagnoses that are increasing, but it is primarily stress, anxiety and depression," says Lisa Björk, researcher in the working environment and mental health at the Institute of Stress Medicine in the Västra Götaland region to the News Agency Sirén.

According to Lisa Björk, one of the reasons for the increased mental health is the organizational and social work environment at the workplace.

The lowest proportion of mentally ill people with long-term sick leave is found in Överkalix. There the share is 18 percent.
