These women were "geographically separated" and relocated to another department with 236 children. They represent the most serious and urgent cases handled by the FNSF, which manages the call number 3919.

"Every year, we host about 5,000 women and children in our network, but all are not at high risk of being killed, thankfully," said AFP Francine Brié, the executive director of the FNSF. In all cases of violence, we must offer help so that "situations of serious danger do not happen," she says. Of the 147 women considered "high risk" of death, nearly 80% had been threatened with death and 94% had reported "serious physical violence", including 22% of attempted murder, according to the death toll. the FNSF. In 20% of cases, the perpetrators had already been convicted of domestic violence.

"Most of them do not respect removal measures or contact bans," says the federation. The government is expected to present on 25 November the long-awaited conclusions of the "Grenelle" it launched in early September to fight against domestic violence and feminicides. In 2018, 121 women were killed in domestic violence, according to figures from the Ministry of the Interior.
