Many dogs that are smuggled into Sweden come to the country without, for example, a rabies vaccine and valid ID marking, so-called chipping. SVT's Document from the inside has tracked the so-called "Stureplans league", a league that sold smuggled, sick and malformed dogs.

A Swedish veterinarian has helped the league by chipping, inspecting and vaccinating puppies.

Correct meeting

SVT's reporters met with the veterinarian and during the meeting had some borrowed puppies that they pretended to come from Poland, on the pretext that they wanted to have the dogs inspected for sale. Dogs traveling across borders in Europe must have a chip - before transport.

At the meeting, the veterinarian offered to chip the puppies about the missing ID marking, and also regulate their age - which is thus not allowed.

Admits when confronted

After the meeting, the reporters sought the veterinarian again. And at the confrontation, the vet admitted he helped the league.

- I have no exact number, but maybe 20, he says about the number.

But according to SVT's review, it is about 50 puppies.
