Assistant Director General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Scientific and Technical Affairs and Director of the Emirates Astronaut Program, Salem Al Marri, announced that the results of the experiments conducted during the mission of «September 25», which participated in the UAE astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri, in January, and mid 2020.

Al-Marri said during a press conference organized by the Dubai Press Club at the club's headquarters yesterday that it is planned to organize a Gulf and Arab tour, in the coming months, for the astronauts Hazza Al-Mansouri and Sultan Al-Neyadi, to transfer their experiences to the Arab youth.

"The second flight of an Emirati astronaut to the International Space Station is expected to be announced shortly, and I invite Emirati women to be part of this event," he said.

“When I was on the International Space Station, I could not go back to Earth, but I returned to transfer my knowledge back to my homeland, which included experiments enriching science and knowledge,” said Hazza al-Mansouri.

On the medical tests conducted, he pointed out that they were multiple, including DNA tests before and after the space flight, stressing that the environment of the space station is difficult, and its impact is strong in the human body.

He noted that his professional background as a pilot gave him a greater preference for coping with the expected risk factors, stress during launch and during different launch stages, and despite these factors, the feeling of happiness due to the flight's departure, and the certainty that the system is safe well, removed the dread of the expected risks .

"My father was the cause of my passion for the aviation and aerospace sectors," said astronaut Sultan al-Neyadi. "When I announced the application for the astronauts program, my little daughter hoped to be an astronaut, but I preceded her." ».
