- We will see world stars like Michelle Coleman who was in the Olympic final 2016 in Rio. We will see Erik Persson who swam the World Cup final this summer. Those who come here will be struck by how fast they swim. It is going fast, says Thomas Jansson, Eskilstuna Simklubb's operations manager.

First environmental diploma championship

About 600 active swimmers, 3-400 managers and 5,000 paying in the audience are what the organizer looks forward to during the sim-SM in the new bathhouse in Eskilstuna. From the organizers' team you are willing to go a little extra because it is also the first championship that is environmentally certified.

- Munktellbadet has a unique diploma called environmental building gold. So it was something that we took with the organizer that we would try to get an environmentally diplomatic championship to further strengthen Eskilstuna's sustainability thinking, says Micke Lönngren, event manager at Destination Eskilstuna.

Records and local medals

Thomas Johansson is convinced that the basin is fast enough to be able to beat new Swedish records and maybe it can also be local gold medals.

- You should never pick out gold in advance but we have Jonathan Kling with us now and he won 50 meters freestyle at the Swedish Championships this summer. He is Eskilstuna's biggest medal jump, but we also have sisters Lisa and Anna Eriksson who are fighting for final places. So it is clear that Eskilstuna will be visible, says Thomas Jansson.
