Foreign Ministry: extradition of US Burkow runs counter to relations between Russia and Israel

“The Russian side expressed extreme regret at the decision of the Israeli authorities to extradite the Russian citizen A.Yu. Burkova, the United States, contrary to the request of the Russian competent authorities for his extradition to his homeland, it was noted that such actions run counter to constructive partnerships that have been developing dynamically in recent years between Russia and Israel, ”the Foreign Ministry said.

Earlier, the US Department of Justice confirmed the extradition of Russian Alexei Burkov from Israel to the United States.

Prior to this, the Russian embassy in Tel Aviv said that the extradition of Burkov to the United States does not contribute to the development of Russian-Israeli relations.
