The French Under-17 football team qualified for the semi-finals of the World Cup in their category, sweeping one of the tournament's favorites, Spain, 6-1, Monday in the quarter-finals in Goiania (Brazil).
The Bleuets, who had however been led 1 to 0 after the opening score in the 9th minute by Valera, face Thursday in the semifinals the winner of Brazil-Italy.
This second goal conceded by the Bleuets in the competition woke them up and it took them only twelve minutes to pick up the score by Kouassi's head on a corner of Aouchiche (21st).
The players of Jean-Claude Giuntini even topped the lead at the break thanks to a goal of Mbuku (36), who had scored a hat-trick in the round of 16 against Australia (4-0).
Spain has completely given up after the third goal scored after the locker room by Lihadji (46th).
The French then took advantage of their physical superiority in the area to inflate the score by Pembele (54th) Rutter (59th) and Aouchiche in overtime.
This is only the second time that the team of France under 17 reaches the last square in the world. The first, she won the tournament in 2001 in Trinidad and Tobago.
