47% of employers who participated in the survey indicated their intention to hire women for various positions in the IT field in 2019-2020.

Also, according to the study, women currently work in IT positions in 55% of Russian companies. At the same time, more than half of the survey participants (52%) admitted that Russian employers are skeptical of hiring female employees to work in the field of IT technologies.

The study was conducted in October 2019 among representatives of 1000 companies of small, medium and large businesses.

Earlier, the Ministry of Labor reported that over the past 18 years, the difference in salaries of men and women has decreased from 36.8% to 28.3%. Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets also stated that the average salary of women in Russia is about 70% of the salary of men.
